8th April 2016, 7:00pm – 10:00pm
You can learn how to do your own bat survey! And then loan one of our bat detectors.
It really is rather simple. You can do a survey in your own back garden, local woods, dogs walk or go further afield to help us out surveying the whole of East Cleveland.
You can even bike a survey, or do a stationary one.
The workshop will make you familiar with 3 different types of detectors, how to turn them on and set recording and saving the bat detection data. We will then go outside to see if there are any bats about and put our new skills to use!
These workshops have been really popular and non-techy people have found them really easy to follow and have had great fun going out and detecting their own bats.
This event is not suitable for small children and is not a drop in session
A unique opportunity to discover the wildlife on your local patch! Learn how to use bat detectors so you can listen out for bats in your own back garden and local area.
